After flying high against the Edgewood Rams on Tuesday, the Parkville Knights came back down to earth. Parkville fell 53-45 to New Town on Friday. Parkville lost against New Town in their previous head to head back in February, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 61-53 score last time.
Parkville's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Chima Egeonu, who scored 3 points along with 8 rebounds and 5 blocks. Another player making a difference was Cameron Alexander, who scored 11 points.
Parkville's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for New Town, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.
Parkville will be playing in front of their home fans against Western Tech & Environmental Science at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for New Town, they will face off against Abingdon at TBD on Saturday. Abingdon has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 191 points over their last three matchups.
