AAA District 5 recap Nov. 7, 2012
McMinn County extended the longest winning streak in AAA District 5 this week by beating Bradley Central, 42-22. The victory was the seventh in a row for the Cherokees.
McMinn County was able to crack the Top 25 in the state rankings this week after besting the Bears. Bo Cagle's team came in at 24 in the state poll after placing at number 26 last week.
On the ground, the Cherokees' Kelvin Wells Jr. has rushed for 1537 yards which leads the league. The leading receiver in the league this season is C.j. Brown. The Soddy Daisy star has 35 catches for 548 yards.
Ooltewah led the league in scoring this week after putting up 47 points on Anderson County.
