In what's become a running theme this season, the North Star co-op [Cando/Bisbee-Egeland] Bearcats gave their fans yet another huge win on Monday. Everything went their way against St. John as North Star co-op [Cando/Bisbee-Egeland] made off with a 71-45 win. With North Star co-op [Cando/Bisbee-Egeland] ahead 42-19 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
St. John lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Aston Parisien, who scored ten points along with five assists and three steals. Parisien is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Tayden Longie, who scored 16 points.
The win was the third in a row for North Star co-op [Cando/Bisbee-Egeland], bringing their record for this year to 8-1. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.7 points per game. As for St. John, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-15.
North Star co-op [Cando/Bisbee-Egeland] does not have any more games scheduled as of now. St. John's road trip will continue as they head out to face Dakota Prairie at 6:30 p.m. on February 8th. Hopefully St. John focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 on Monday.
