Softball Recap: Bowie Wins Going Away Against Harts Bluff

Bowie's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Harts Bluff Bulldogs with a sharp 16-1 victory. The win continues a trend for the Pirates in their matchups with the Bulldogs: they've now won five in a row.

Tatum Tyndell made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching 3.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. Tyndell was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-3. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April of 2024.

In other batting news, Callie Allen was incredible, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Chloe Pinkerton, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in two of her four plate appearances.

Bowie was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .407. They are 3-1 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Bowie's victory bumped their record up to 4-6. As for Harts Bluff, they dropped their record down to 2-6 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home.

Bowie will have a chance to go back-to-back against Harts Bluff: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
