The Tonkawa Buccaneers will square off against the Pawnee Black Bears at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Tonkawa will be strutting in after a win while Pawnee will be coming in after a loss.
Tonkawa's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They were the clear victor by a 10-0 margin over Depew. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Buccaneers.

Kade Ditmore looked comfortable as he kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits over four innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one hit in three consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Tonkawa got a big performance out of Cayden Duvall, who went 2-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI. That triple marked the first that Duvall hit this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Westyn Freeman, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.
Tonkawa was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .409. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Depew only posted a batting average of .077.
Meanwhile, Pawnee was not able to break out of their rough patch last Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against Stroud, falling 17-5. That's two games in a row now that the Black Bears have lost by exactly 12 runs.
Luke Mitchell made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April of 2024.
Tonkawa now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Pawnee, their loss dropped their record down to 0-4.
Pawnee's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Tonkawa hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .319. It's a different story for Pawnee, though, as they've only averaged .188. Will they be able to contain Tonkawa's hitters?
Tonkawa took their victory against Pawnee when the teams last played back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 19-9. Does Tonkawa have another victory up their sleeve, or will Pawnee turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
