The Paul Robeson Huskies's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their fourth straight loss. They took a 66-52 bruising from Abington Friends. Paul Robeson lost against Abington Friends in their previous head to head back in December of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 59-53 score last time.
Several Huskies players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Rakeem Dunston, who scored nine points along with seven assists and three steals. Dunston is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Robert Towns, who scored 12 points.
Paul Robeson has not been sharp recently, as they've lost six of their last seven matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-9 record this season. As for Abington Friends, their win bumped their record up to 3-6.
Paul Robeson will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Boys' Latin Charter at 4:30 p.m. Boys' Latin Charter is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses. As for Abington Friends, they will head out on the road to face off against George School at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
