Abbeville has gone a perfect 10-0 against Dixie recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Panthers will venture away from home to square off against the Hornets at 7:00 p.m. Abbeville is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.2 runs per game this season.
Abbeville will roll into the matchup after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up one run on Thursday, then bounced right back against McCormick on Monday. The Panthers' pitcher stepped up to hand the Chiefs an 18-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Panthers, who have now won eight contests by six runs or more so far this season.
Justin Oglesby made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Oglesby was also big at the plate, getting on base in both of his plate appearances with three stolen bases and two runs. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high.

Meanwhile, after a string of 15 wins, Dixie's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They fell just short of Ninety Six by a score of 7-5. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Hornets have suffered since May 9, 2024.

Everything went Abbeville's way against Dixie in their previous matchup back in February, as Abbeville made off with an 11-5 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Panthers since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
