Columbia is on a three-game streak of home wins, while Chiles is on a 16-game streak of away wins (dating back to last season): one of those streaks is about to end. The Tigers will host the Timberwolves at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Columbia proved they can win big on Tuesday (they won by three) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past Suwannee 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Tigers have posted against the Bulldogs since October 6, 2020.
Columbia had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 19-25, 23-25, 25-13, 25-13, 15-11.

Columbia can attribute much of their success to Bella Lester, who had 17 digs and two aces, and Kinslee Hall, who had 14 digs and three aces. That's the most digs Hall has posted over her last 11 matchups.
They weren't the only good servers: Columbia was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 27 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in seven consecutive matches.
Meanwhile, Chiles made easy work of Crestview on Thursday and carried off a 3-0 win.
One reason for the win was Chiles' just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-16, 25-7.
Columbia now has a winning record of 13-12. As for Chiles, their victory bumped their record up to 24-1.
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Tuesday's contest: Columbia has really dialed in their serving this season, having averaged 10.5 aces per game. However, it's not like Chiles struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 8.8 aces. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
