The St. Marys Blue Devils have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven games by 23 points or more this season. They blew past Wahama 68-42. Given St. Marys' advantage in MaxPreps' West Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 16th, while Wahama is ranked 297th), the result on Tuesday wasn't entirely unexpected.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead St. Marys to victory, but perhaps none more so than Addie "r" Davis, who scored 23 points along with seven assists and five steals. The match was Davis' third in a row with at least ten points. Brynnley Bulluck was another key contributor, scoring 21 points along with six rebounds.
The win was the fourth in a row for St. Marys, bringing their record for this year to 10-3. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.5 points per game. As for Wahama, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 3-3.
St. Marys will take on Wirt County at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Wahama, they will head out on the road to face off against Ritchie County at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Ritchie County focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 20 on Tuesday.
