The Belleview Rattlers will square off against the Citrus Hurricanes at TBD on Tuesday. Belleview is no doubt hoping to put an end to a nine-game streak of away losses.
It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 65-24, which was the final score in Belleview's tilt against the Panthers on Wednesday. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Belleview has scored all season.
The losing side was boosted by Demarcus Mcdaniel, who scored eight points.
Citrus lost a heartbreaker when they last took the court, but unfortunately for them the defeat they were handed on on Tuesday was a bit more commanding. They were outmatched by Lecanto on the road and fell 89-47. While losing is never fun, Citrus can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 654th, while the Panthers are ranked 207th).
Belleview's loss dropped their record down to 2-18. As for Citrus, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-17.
Belleview ended up a good deal behind the Hurricanes when the teams last played last Thursday, losing 56-39. Can Belleview avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
