St. Clair hasn't had much luck against Dakota recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Saints will take on the Cougars at 4:00 p.m. St. Clair is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.2 runs per game this season.
Dakota will take on a team with plenty of momentum: St. Clair extended their winning streak to three on Tuesday. The Saints came out on top against Marine City by a score of 6-1.

Hayley McFarlane spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on three hits and racked up eight Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Gracie Pickelhaupt and Madisyn Treat did most of the damage at the plate: Pickelhaupt went 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI, while Treat went 2-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.
Anchor Bay typically has all the answers at home, but on Tuesday Dakota proved too difficult a challenge. They skirted past the Tars 5-4. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Cougars as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.
Dakota also let their pitcher toss all seven innings and she was also dialed-in: Alivia Reardon gave up three earned (and one unearned) runs on six hits.
On the hitting side, Julia Nowicki was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. That's the most hits she has posted over her last 12 games. Another player making a difference was Katie Rusher, who went 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
St. Clair's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 20-5-2. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.4 runs on average over those games. As for Dakota, their record is now 21-11.
St. Clair's speedy runners might be the difference in Wednesday's matchup. The Saints have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.2 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Dakota, though, as they've been averaging only 1.2 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will St. Clair continue to outrun the ball?
