The Eno River Bobcats were the 38-32 winner over the Roxboro Community Bulldogs when they last played one another back in January of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Eno River took a 41-29 hit to the loss column at the hands of Roxboro Community on Thursday.
Leading Roxboro Community to victory were Karrie Obie and Katherine-kaey "katie" Mann. Obie dropped a double-double on 13 points and 11 rebounds, while Mann scored 16 points along with three steals. Mann is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last eight games she's played. Another player making a difference was Kaylyn Pope, who scored four points.
Eno River's defeat dropped their record down to 9-7. As for Roxboro Community, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-5.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Eno River will stay at home for another game and welcome Henderson Collegiate at 6:00 p.m. on January 30th. Roxboro Community won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Oxford Prep at 6:00 p.m. on January 26th.
