Baseball Recap: North Delta Comes Up Short

North Delta easily dispatched Tishomingo County on Tuesday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. The North Delta Green Wave fell just short of the Clinton Arrows by a score of 10-8 on Tuesday.

Herron Williams and Owens Johnson stepped up to the plate in a big way. Williams went 2-for-4 with four RBI, one run, and one double, while Johnson scored two runs while going 2-for-3. Johnson is becoming a predictor of North Delta's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 5-2 (and 3-4 when he doesn't).

North Delta's loss dropped their record down to 8-6. As for Clinton, their victory bumped their record up to 9-3.

Looking ahead, North Delta will face off against Lee Academy at 4:00 p.m. on March 18th. As for Clinton, they will challenge Gulfport at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The last three games Gulfport has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
