Baseball Recap: Scholars Academy Takes a Loss

Anthony Tedesco was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and one run. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played. Jacob Burdier also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Scholars Academy's loss was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Beacon, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-2 record this season.

Scholars Academy will welcome John Adams at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Spartans have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.1 runs per game on average), something Scholars Academy will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Beacon, they are taking a road trip to take on Francis Lewis at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Blue Demons' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Patriots have averaged an impressive 6.4 runs per game this season.
