Lowry has enjoyed the comforts of home their last three games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will face off against the Dayton Dust Devils at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Given that the pair suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.
Last Friday, Lowry came up short against Churchill County and fell 62-50.
Despite their defeat, Lowry saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Kasyn Garner, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 13 rebounds, was perhaps the best of all. Garner continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last four games he's played. Matthew Casalez was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with two steals.
Meanwhile, Dayton's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their fourth straight loss. They were beaten by Elko 54-21. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss Dayton has suffered against Elko since February 16, 2019.
Lowry's defeat was their third straight at home, which bumped their record down to 9-8. As for Dayton, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-11 record this season.
Everything came up roses for Lowry against Dayton in their previous matchup back in February of 2023 as the team secured a 65-35 victory. With Lowry ahead 34-12 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
