Greendale is 1-9 against Pius XI Catholic since December of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Greendale Panthers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Pius XI Catholic Popes at 7:00 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
Greendale had to kick off their season on the road on Tuesday, but they showed no ill effects. They managed a 56-52 win over Westosha Central.
Greendale found their leader in underclassman Tatiyana Edwards, who scored 21 points. Another player making a difference was Khloe Pedersen, who scored 11 points.
Meanwhile, Pius XI Catholic came up short against Monona Grove on Saturday and fell 69-61.
Greendale's win bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Pius XI Catholic, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-1.
Greendale was dealt a bruising 68-29 defeat at the hands of Pius XI Catholic in their previous matchup back in February. Can Greendale avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
