Bear Lake is 8-2 against West Side since May of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Saturday. The Bears will be playing in front of their home fans against the Pirates at 1:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
West Side will be up against a hot Bear Lake squad: the team just extended their winning streak to seven. The Bears were the clear victors by a 16-6 margin over American Falls on Friday.

Brielle Romrell made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out eight batters over four innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. Romrell was even better at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one home run and six RBI. Those six RBI gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Bear Lake got a massive performance out of Peyten Crockett, who went 2-for-3 with four runs, two doubles, and one stolen base. That's the most doubles Crockett has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Brooklynn Pope, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.
Bear Lake kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits every time they've taken the field this season.
Meanwhile, West Side got the win against Ririe on Friday by a conclusive 16-6.
Halle Taylor and Halle Wade did most of the damage at the plate: Taylor got on base in four of her five plate appearances with one home run, four runs, and four RBI, while Wade went a perfect 5-for-5 with three stolen bases, four RBI, and two doubles. Wade has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last five times she's played. Emilee Dewitt was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two runs and two RBI.
Bear Lake's victory bumped their record up to 17-4. As for West Side, their win bumped their record up to 7-8.
Bear Lake got the 'W' when the teams last played back in March against West Side by a conclusive 17-4 score. Do the Bears have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Pirates turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
