Softball Recap: Galt Wins Going Away Against Rio Americano

Galt made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Rio Americano, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Galt Warriors blew past the Rio Americano Raiders 10-3 on Saturday. The result was nothing new for the Warriors, who have now won four games by six runs or more so far this season.

The team relied heavily on Rianna Mayer, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one home run and three RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Rachael Parkinson, who scored two runs while going 1-for-2.

The win made it two in a row for Galt and bumps their season record up to 4-6. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average over those games. As for Rio Americano, their record is now 2-7.

Galt wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, an 8-1 loss against Rosemont on the 18th. As for Rio Americano, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 12-2 defeat against Vista del Lago on the 10th.
