Admiral Farragut has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will face off against the Northside Christian Mustangs at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Admiral Farragut will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings (they are ranked 640th, while Northside Christian is ranked 311th).
Last Friday, Admiral Farragut took a serious blow against Lakeside Christian, falling 45-17.
Northside Christian posted their biggest win since November 30, 2023 on Tuesday. They breezed by Lakeside Christian at home to the tune of 48-21. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Northside Christian has posted against Lakeside Christian since December 4, 2015.
Northside Christian's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Sofia Rodriguez led the charge by scoring 11 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Rodriguez has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Rilee Knight, who scored 11 points.
Admiral Farragut's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Northside Christian, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-3.
Admiral Farragut came up short against Northside Christian in their previous meeting back in January of 2023, falling 27-20. Can Admiral Farragut avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
