After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Non Varsity Tournament Opponent, the Walnut Grove Christian Christian Warriors were happy to have found some success on Friday. They walked away with a 55-44 win over Carolina Christian. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Walnut Grove Christian also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2022.
Walnut Grove Christian's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Adam Smith, who scored 19 points. Those 19 points set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Lucas Thomason, who scored 15 points.
Walnut Grove Christian's victory ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-10. As for Carolina Christian, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-10.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Fletcher the next time they take the court. Carolina Christian will head out to face Fletcher at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, while Walnut Grove Christian will host them at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
