Marquette Catholic suffered their biggest defeat since December 6, 2023 on Tuesday. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 56-31 walloping at the hands of Highland. Marquette Catholic was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 35-13.
Meanwhile, Jersey unfortunately witnessed the end of their seven-game winning streak on Friday. They received a tough blow as they fell 62-47 to Civic Memorial. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Jersey in their matchups with Civic Memorial: they've now lost nine in a row.
Despite the defeat, Jersey had strong showings from Meredith Gray, who scored 16 points along with nine rebounds and two steals, and Tessa Crawford, who scored 21 points along with two steals. That was a full 44.7% of Jersey's points, marking the fifth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Marquette Catholic's loss dropped their record down to 6-10. As for Jersey, their loss ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-9.
