Smith was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBI and one run. That's the most hits she has posted since back in March.
In other batting news, Franklin-Simpson let Lilly Ferguson and Allie Utley run wild. Ferguson went 3-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs, while Utley went 2-for-4 with four runs, two triples, and one stolen base. Those five RBI gave Ferguson a new career-high.
