It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Mercy Career & Technical had no problem doing just that on Wednesday. They breezed by the Wolfpack at home to the tune of 73-43. Mercy Career & Technical's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Mercy Career & Technical can attribute much of their success to Anthony Caple, who scored 21 points. Caple continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Taji Stewart, who scored 15 points.
The victory (which was Mercy Career & Technical's fourth in a row) raised their record to 8-1. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.0 points per game. As for AIM Academy, they now have a losing record at 2-3.
Mercy Career & Technical will be playing at home against the at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Pine Forge Academy is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. AIM Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
