Shamrock and Memphis are an even 4-4 against one another since September of 2016, but not for long. The Shamrock Irish will be playing in front of their home fans against the Memphis Cyclones at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.
Last Friday, Shamrock had to suffer through a rough 58-6 loss at the hands of Clarendon.
Terry Menefield put forth a good effort for the losing side as he picked up 162 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Meanwhile, this season hasn't been kind to Memphis, who are still winless after their eighth matchup. They were outmatched by Wheeler at home and fell 31-0.
Shamrock now has a losing record at 4-5. As for Memphis, their loss was their sixth straight at home (dating back to last season), which dropped their overall record down to 0-8.
Everything came up roses for Shamrock against Memphis in their previous meeting back in November of 2022 as the team secured a 55-20 victory. Does Shamrock have another victory up their sleeve, or will Memphis turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
