Kenai Central faced Palmer in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Kardinals' defense stepped up to hand the Moose a 7-0 shutout. Considering Kenai Central have won eight contests by more than two goals this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

They hit Palmer with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Brynnen Hanson (3), Christine Goering (2), Katie Johnson, and Ellee Pancoast.

Kenai Central has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-3 record this season.
