Calvary Christian Academy will be playing at home against the Hancock Panthers at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
Last Friday, Calvary Christian Academy was beaten by Heritage Academy 65-27. While losing is never fun, Calvary Christian Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Maryland basketball rankings (they are ranked 256th, while Heritage Academy is ranked 53rd).
Meanwhile, Hancock had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They slipped by Faith Christian Academy 59-58 on Thursday. The win was just what Hancock needed coming off of a 70-43 loss in their prior game.
Hancock's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Aiden McCarty, who scored 17 points along with four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Jacob Anderson, who scored 17 points along with three steals.
Calvary Christian Academy dropped their record down to 5-12 with that loss, which was their seventh straight on the road. As for Hancock, their win bumped their record up to 4-14.
Calvary Christian Academy skirted past Hancock 61-59 in their previous meeting back in February of 2023. Does Calvary Christian Academy have another victory up their sleeve, or will Hancock turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
