Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only the Flour Bluff Hornets walked away with it. They breezed by Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Memorial on the road to the tune of 52-21. Winning may never get old, but Flour Bluff sure are getting used to it with their seventh in a row.
Jayden Paluseo continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, throwing for 291 yards and three touchdowns while completing 73.1% of his passes, and also punching in a touchdown on the ground. Paluseo is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as he's now passed for three or more in the last seven games he's played. Cameran Dickson also helped out with an impressive 90 receiving yards.
Flour Bluff's win bumped their record up to 8-2. As for Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Memorial, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-4.
Flour Bluff will face off against Veterans Memorial at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Veterans Memorial is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Memorial does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
