It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Hackleburg Panthers had no problem doing just that on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Marion County 47-8 at home. The victory was familiar territory for Hackleburg who now have ten in a row.
Davin Dulaney went supernova for Hackleburg, rushing for 202 yards and two touchdowns on only 13 carries. Dulaney really tore up the turf during one magnificent 83-yard run. Another player making a difference was Edge Weeks, who rushed for 80 yards and two touchdowns on only six carries.
Hackleburg has yet to lose a matchup at home this season, leaving them with a 9-1 record. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 38.4 points per game. As for Marion County, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-5 record this season.
Hackleburg will be playing at home against Valley Head at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Marion County does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
