Sharon Springs Central was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Leopards apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2020.
Sharon Springs Central's loss came despite strong showings from Zarie Fassett and Lilly Tessier. Fassett scored 21 points along with eight rebounds, while Tessier scored 18 points. That was a full 34% of Sharon Springs Central's points, marking the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Jayna MANKO, who scored five points along with 15 rebounds.
Sharon Springs Central dropped their record down to 3-9 with that loss, which was their fifth straight at home. As for Laurens Central, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-2.
Sharon Springs Central will be playing in front of their home fans against the Falcons at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Northville presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Spartans in New York (the Falcons are ranked 109th, while the Spartans are ranked 557th). As for Laurens Central, they will head out on the road to square off against the Dragons at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
