The Amherst Broncos fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back victories it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They blew past Hershey 44-13 at home. The result was nothing new for Amherst, who have now won four matchups by 22 points or more so far this season.
Hershey's lost on Friday despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Kaden Thompson, who rushed for 99 yards on only nine carries. Thompson was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 53 yards.
Amherst now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Hershey, their loss dropped their record down to 3-6.
Amherst will head out on the road to face off against Oakland-Craig at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Oakland-Craig is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last eight games. Hershey does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
