After two games on the road, Weeki Wachee is heading back home. They will take on the Citrus Hurricanes at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that the pair suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.
Last Friday, Weeki Wachee was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 46-40 to Nature Coast Tech.
Isaac Priester put forth a good effort for the losing side as he dropped a double-double on 23 points and 12 rebounds. He scored a full 57.5% of Weeki Wachee's points, the fifth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Alex Wilson, who scored 6 points.
Meanwhile, Citrus came up short against Crystal River on Friday and fell 61-49. Citrus has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
East Lake's win bumped their season record to 0-0 while Weeki Wachee's defeat dropped theirs to 0-4.
Everything came up roses for Weeki Wachee against Citrus in their previous meeting back in January as the squad secured a 74-38 win. Does Weeki Wachee have another victory up their sleeve, or will Citrus turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
