The St. Johns Redskins will face off against the Pima Roughriders at 1:00  p.m.  on Friday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
St. Johns is headed in fresh off scoring the most  runs they have   all season. Everything went their way against Valley on Wednesday as they made off with  a  20-2 victory. The team's explosion at the plate also rewarded the Redskins with their most commanding win of the  season.
 Everett McFee made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound,   tossing two innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   three  hits. What's more,  he posted four  strikeouts, the most he's  had since back in April of 2024. He was also stellar in the batter's box,  scoring two  runs and  stealing two bases while going 2-for-2.

 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  McKray Johnson, who  scored two  runs and  stole a base while going 3-for-3. Those  three  hits gave  him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was  Mark Cox, who  scored two  runs while going 2-for-4.
 St. Johns was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .750. They are 8-1 when  they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile,  there's no place like home for Pima, who bounced back after a  loss on the road  on Monday. They blew past San Carlos 11-3 on Wednesday. The Roughriders haven't had any issues with the Braves recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive  win against them.
 Pima saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Adrian Castro, who  went 1-for-3 with one  home run and one  stolen base.  Colter Kempton was another,  scoring a  run while going 1-for-1.
 Pima's victory was  their third straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 7-8-1. The  home  wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 9.3 runs over those games. As for St. Johns,  the  victory  got them back to even at 10-10-1.
Pima's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them:  St. Johns hasn't had any issues making contact this season,  having earned a batting average of .369. It's a different story for Pima, though, as  they've  only  averaged .222. Will they be able to contain St. Johns' hitters?
