Viewmont is on a four-game streak of home wins (dating back to last season), while Box Elder is on a six-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Vikings will welcome the Bees at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Viewmont is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.3 runs per game this season.
While Viewmont didn't have the best season last year (they finished 12-16), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They came out on top against Olympus by a score of 6-3 on Tuesday.

London Dickerson was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out ten batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off four hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than eight strikeouts in five consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.
In other batting news, Viewmont let Betty Cluff and Olivia McGarvey run wild. Cluff got on base in two of her three plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base, while McGarvey went 1-for-2 with two RBI and one run. That's the most runs Cluff has posted since back in May of 2025.
Meanwhile, Box Elder faced Clearfield in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Bees were the clear victors by a 12-2 margin over the Falcons. Considering the Bees have won eight matchups by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Kailee Hall and Madeline Jeppsen did most of the damage at the plate: Hall fired off two home runs, three runs, and four RBI while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances, while Jeppsen got on base in all four of her plate appearances with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That home run was Jeppsen's first of the season. Another player making a difference was Izibel Mason, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run.
Box Elder hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least five batters in 11 consecutive contests.
Box Elder's victory bumped their record up to 12-0. As for Viewmont, their win bumped their record up to 6-4.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Wednesday. Viewmont hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.4 home runs per game. However, it's not like Box Elder struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 1.7 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
Viewmont suffered a grim 17-2 defeat to Box Elder when the teams last played back in April of 2025. Will the Vikings have more luck at home instead of on the road? Come back here after the game to get an analysis of the match and other softball content.
