Palm Harbor University won the last time they faced Clearwater and things went their way on Thursday too. The Palm Harbor University Hurricanes blew past the Clearwater Tornadoes 8-1. The Hurricanes might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten matchups by six runs or more this season.

Avery Jackson was excellent, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3. That's the most hits she has posted over her last nine contests. Charlie McDonald was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one RBI.

Palm Harbor University's victory was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-3. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Clearwater, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-5 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Palm Harbor University will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Tampa Catholic at 6:00 p.m. on March 26th. Clearwater also won't see the field for a while: their next match is against Seminole at 7:00 p.m. on March 25th. Clearwater is facing Seminole at the right time seeing as Seminole is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
