Sharyland is 9-1 against Valley View since February of 2017, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Sharyland Rattlers will head out on the road to take on the Valley View Tigers at 6:00 p.m. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Sharyland and six for Valley View.
Last Tuesday, Sharyland was the victim of a rough 49-29 defeat at the hands of Pioneer. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Sharyland has scored all season.
Meanwhile, Valley View was beaten by McAllen 126-39 on Tuesday. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Valley View in their matchups with McAllen: they've now lost nine in a row.
Sharyland has traveled a rocky road recently having lost ten of their last 12 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-19 record this season. As for Valley View, they dropped their record down to 12-24 with that loss, which was their third straight at home.
Sharyland strolled past Valley View in their previous matchup back in January by a score of 64-47. The rematch might be a little tougher for Sharyland since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
