Volleyball Recap: Hermann's Win Ends Three-Game Losing Streak on the Road

If St. James wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Hermann, they should've done a better job of containing Kealie Lane. The Bearcats were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Tigers on Thursday thanks in part to Lane, who had 12 digs and two aces. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 11 or more in each of the last 12 games she's played.

One reason for the win was Hermann's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-9, 25-8, 25-6.

St. James' defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Seble Stutzman, who had 17 digs, and Ella Marcee, who had 16 digs.

Hermann's win ended a three-match drought on the road and puts them at 13-12-1. As for St. James, they are on a 19-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-24-1.

Coming up, Hermann will square off against St. Francis Borgia at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. St. James does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
