North Tahoe was the clear victor by a 70-47 margin over the Falcons. Cormac Springsteel had a dynamite game for North Tahoe, scoring 24 points along with six rebounds and five assists. Rowin Springsteel was another key contributor, scoring 16 points along with eight rebounds.
When it comes to explaining why Sierra Lutheran lost on Tuesday, one person who can't be blamed is John Salonites. Despite the final result, he scored 19 points along with two steals. Another player making a difference was Devon Granata, who scored five points.
North Tahoe's victory bumped their record up to 8-10. As for Sierra Lutheran, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost 12 of their last 14 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-13 record this season.
North Tahoe won't have much time to rest: their next match is against the Longhorns at 5:30 p.m. on January 24th. Battle Mountain is no doubt hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses. As for Sierra Lutheran, they will head out on the road to take on the Lions at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
