Del Sol is 0-3 against Shadow Ridge since November of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Del Sol Dragons will head out on the road to square off against the Shadow Ridge Mustangs at 6:30 p.m. Hopefully Del Sol focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up ten on Tuesday.
Del Sol pushed their score all the way to 69, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 73-69 hit to the loss column at the hands of Western.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Kasire Johnson, who scored 31 points along with two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Luis Lozano, who dropped a double-double on ten points and ten assists.
Even though Shadow Ridge has not done well against Legacy recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Shadow Ridge managed a 60-54 victory over Legacy. The win made it back-to-back wins for Shadow Ridge.
Del Sol's defeat dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Shadow Ridge, their win bumped their record up to 11-7.
Del Sol was taken down by Shadow Ridge 77-50 in their previous matchup back in December of 2023. The game was all but decided by halftime, at which point Del Sol was down 45-25.
