The Troy Trojans suffered their biggest defeat since December 19, 2023 on Friday. They were the victim of a rough 52-29 loss at the hands of Lexington. Troy was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Lexington apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played on January 2nd.
It was another big night for Maya Bell, who scored 17 points along with nine steals and five rebounds for Lexington. Bell hasn't dropped below two steals for nine straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of KK Crawford, who scored nine points along with five steals.
Troy has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 15-13 record this season. As for Lexington, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 19-11.
Troy will be playing at home against McGregor at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. McGregor is no doubt hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses. As for Lexington, they will head out on the road to square off against Rogers at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
