Basketball Recap: Tuesday's Victory Is Nicholas County's Third in Last Four Outings

If Webster County wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Nicholas County, they should've done a better job of containing Adrienne Truman. The Nicholas County Grizzlies blew past the Webster County Highlanders 46-24 on Tuesday thanks in part to Truman, who went 11 of 20 on her way to 26 points in addition to five rebounds and four steals. That makes it nine consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Nicholas County's points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Tateny Mylott, who posted three points and three steals. What's more, she also racked up three assists, the most she's had since back in December of 2023.

Nicholas County has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 4-5 record this season. As for Webster County, their loss dropped their record down to 3-3.

Nicholas County will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Clay County at 7:15 p.m. on January 14th. Webster County will also get a bit of a break before their next game: they'll face off against Trinity Christian at 7:00 p.m. on January 13th.
