The San Diego Vaqueros stacked a ninth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 60-20 win over Banquete on the road. Given San Diego's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 663rd, while Banquete is ranked 1671st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
San Diego was led to victory by Tyler Saenz and Estevan R barrientes. Saenz scored 14 points, while R barrientes scored 16 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Saenz has scored all season. Dustin Solis was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
San Diego has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 22-6 record this season. As for Banquete, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-19.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing London the next time they take the court. San Diego will head out to face London at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, while Banquete will head out to face them at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
