The Trinity Trojans's 13-game losing streak came to an end on Tuesday. They managed a 51-45 victory over Chisholm Trail. The win was all the more spectacular given Trinity's disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 835th, while Chisholm Trail is ranked 101st).
Chisholm Trail lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Kaden Richardson, who scored 18 points along with four steals. Richardson hasn't dropped below 15points for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Javon Smith, who scored 14 points along with five steals.
Chisholm Trail struggled to work together and finished the game with only three assists. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.
Trinity's victory ended a six-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-15. As for Chisholm Trail, their loss ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 13-5.
Trinity will head out on the road to face off against Crowley at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Crowley's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last nine matchups. As for Chisholm Trail, they will be playing at home against Paschal at 8:00 p.m. on Friday.
