The Bremond Tigers will head out on the road to face off against the Dawson Bulldogs at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Tuesday, Bremond earned a 55-43 win over Hubbard. The win made it back-to-back wins for Bremond.
Meanwhile, even though Wortham scored an imposing 59 points on Tuesday, Dawson still came out on top. Dawson walked away with a 68-59 win over Wortham.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Dawson to victory, but perhaps none more so than Colby Springer, who scored 25 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Springer has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Elijah Allen, who scored 20 points.
Bremond is on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 15 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 17-9 record this season. As for Dawson, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-8.
Bremond didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Dawson in their previous meeting back in January, but they still walked away with a 49-45 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Bremond since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
