Herscher is a perfect 5-0 against Dwight since March of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Tigers will square off against the Trojans at 4:00 p.m. Herscher is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.1 runs per game this season.

Herscher is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering Manteno just ended the team's six-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 8-7. Tigers fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Panthers since on Tuesday.

Logan Egerton was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-4 with one home run and three RBI. Another player making a difference was Tanner Jones, who went 2-for-4 with three runs, one double, and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Dwight entered their tilt with Fisher on Tuesday with five consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with six. They blew past the Bunnies 11-5. The Trojans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 13 contests by six runs or more this season.

Dwight's victory was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 19-8. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average over those games. As for Herscher, their loss dropped their record down to 24-5.

Herscher came out on top in a nail-biter against Dwight in their previous matchup back in March of 2024, sneaking past 8-7. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Tigers since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
