Tremont was led to victory by Saige Black and Paige Gillespie. Black scored 18 points along with five assists and five rebounds, while Gillespie scored 17 points along with five steals. Gillespie continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Grace Gillespie, who scored eight points.
Brilliant lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Macy Moore, who scored 17 points. Moore continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Brooklyn Omary was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Tremont's win bumped their record up to 6-8-1. As for Brilliant, their loss dropped their record down to 13-6.
Tremont will head out on the road to face off against Baldwyn at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. That game will pit two of the most dominant against one another: Ayriah Warren and Gillespie. As for Brilliant, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Lynn at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
