The Temple City Rams and the Calvary Baptist Cougars will face off at 6:30 p.m. on December 29th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around on Friday.
Temple City unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Thursday. They were dealt a 78-47 loss at the hands of Canyon.
Loss or not, Temple City got some senior leadership from Justin Chung who scored 13 points along with six rebounds and three blocks and Cody Lau who scored ten points. Those 13 points set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Shawn Le, who scored two points along with three steals.
Calvary Baptist has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They were the victim of a tough 64-43 defeat at the hands of United Christian Academy on Thursday. Calvary Baptist has struggled against United Christian Academy recently, as their match on Thursday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Temple City's loss dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Calvary Baptist, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 12-4 record this season.
