After a string of three wins, the Farmersville Farmers's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They took a hard 45-26 fall against Kaufman. Farmersville has not had much luck with Kaufman recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Kaufman was led to victory by Kaylee Wrenn and Aubre Prox. Wrenn went 7 for 11 from beyond the arc en route to 23 points and 2 assists, while Prox scored 19 points along with six assists and five rebounds. Wrenn is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last three games she's played.
Farmersville's loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-14. As for Kaufman, their win was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 17-11.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Community the next time they take the court. Farmersville will head out to face Community at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday, while Kaufman will host them at 6:15 p.m. on Friday.
