Baseball Recap: Spotswood Wins Going Away Against Rocktown

Spotswood had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They blew past the Rocktown Raptors 16-1. The match marked the Trailblazers' most dominant victory of the season so far.

Brady Hoover made a splash no matter where he played. He pitched three innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. Hoover was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one double. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in May of 2024.

In other pitching news, Brian Mayberry looked comfortable as he tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up a single hit any time he's pitched this season.

Back at the plate, Spotswood got a massive performance out of Landon Buracker, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Danny Gass was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.

Spotswood's win bumped their record up to 9-1. As for Rocktown, their defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 0-5.
