Sullivan came tearing into Friday's matchup with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5 runs), and they left with even more momentum. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Bloomfield Cardinals an 8-0 shutout. The Golden Arrows might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six contests by six runs or more this season.

Sullivan pushed their record up to 13-2 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Bloomfield, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-7 record this season.
