Football Recap: Dj Hammond Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Bishop Mcnamara

There's no place like home for Our Lady of Good Counsel, who bounced back after a loss on the road two weeks ago. They took down the Bishop McNamara Mustangs 34-20 on Friday. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Falcons considering their seven-point performance the game before.

Our Lady of Good Counsel got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Dj Hammond out in front who rushed for 96 yards and a pair of touchdowns. What's more, Hammond posted two rushing touchdowns, the most he's had since back in September. Our Lady of Good Counsel also got a significant boost from Paul Alston, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 95 yards.

Our Lady of Good Counsel's victory bumped their record up to 6-4. As for Bishop McNamara, they dropped their record down to 4-6 with the loss, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Our Lady of Good Counsel will take on Gonzaga at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Bishop McNamara does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
